NOTES

  1. Ann was the daughter of Hugh McYlrea & Margaret Cain, who married Braddan 1716
  2. Ann did not marry
  3. The name Hugh is quite rare in Mylrea genealogy. Her father Hugh was from Michael where the name was quite common. He was the son of Kath Corjeag and John McYlrea who married in 1780 in Michael.
  4. Hugh and his mother sold land there in 1703, and Hugh later sold a house and garden in Michael in 1718, after the death of his mother
  5. No baptism record of Ann but her mother's 1739 will nominated Hugh MEYLREA (1716), Cath (1719), Margaret (1722), Ann & John (1727)
  6. Mother Margaret Mylrea als Cain als Kinnish died 1739 in Braddan; father Hugh died 1757 but did not leave a will
  7. Brother Hugh Mylrea married Margaret Teare in Braddan 1761 (he died in 1778 after falling into the Douglas river and drowning)
  8. Ann's will indicates that sisters Cath and Margaret were still alive, as was brother Hugh but brother John had disappeared
